[And to think Maya hasn't quite two and two together yet, though 'her' voice seems really familiar]

I-I'm ready! Come on, heroic stranger! Get ready for affection!

[OH, MAYA... What a sweet summer child.

But Kaoru the kind sacrificing selfless stranger will nod once at that, determined, and turn while running.]

[HOLDING A HAND OUT FOR HER TO GRAB.]

[No, truly Kaoru is just a hero to us all]

[She reaches out for kind sacrificing selfless stranger's hand as the countdown begins, doing her best to wriggle out of its affectionate arms]

[It's true, here goes Kaoru, being a hero again...

The robot does indeed loosen its grip as soon as Kaoru comes in closer, though! It sure does want double the people to hug... But Kaoru's keen on grabbing Maya's hand, quickly pulling her away as soon as the robot's grip is loose enough.]

Keep to your feet, miss!

[GREAT ADVICE FROM KAORU who's just kind of haphazardly releasing her off to the side of the robot like a fish... It makes another grab for Kaoru, who just happens to stumble out of the way! What luck!!]

[Truly, a lucky bustander! Luckily for Kaoru, Maya leaves No Man Pretending To Be Woman behind, so she clasps Kaoru's hand tightly as they both manage to escape the evil hugbot, and then starts to run, tugging Kaoru with her]

Looks like team Maya's blasting off agaaaain!

[She'll recognize Kaoru once this dramatic action exit has been taken care of...!]

No okay Kaoru doesn't start screaming, but there is a mild yelp when she tugs him and they both go rocketing away from the hugbot like escaped convicts. This is not the life he wanted to lead!!]

To the left—! There should be an alley that we can hide in there!

[What a wuss.]

[Despite Kaoru's girly protests, Maya's still tugging him along, specifically to the food stands.]

[Okay, maybe not yet, but she ducks to the left and into the alley as instructed. The hugbot's thunking footsteps echo in the background... but will it notice their brilliant hiding place?]

Whew! That was close! I needed less affection than you know!

[souredsweet]

[PLEASE DON'T TAKE THEM TO THE FOOD STANDS TO DIE MAYA he demands a more dramatic location for death than that.]

Ah— ...Please wait a moment. [Quiet Maya don't give their great spot away... Once the footsteps fade far enough, Kaoru sighs, brow furrowing.]

My, what a hassle. Are you all right, miss?

[Um, maybe it's for a last meal, did Kaoru ever think about that...]

[Anyway, once the danger has passed, Maya's looking back over to her savior! And.... she looks familiar]

[Trails off, staring. Is that Chizuru? No, it seems more like.....]

Ah...

[NO... But excellent, the danger has passed and they haven't died! What a successful mission.

Kaoru sighs a little, relieved, and then turns to look at Maya - but that look earns her a pause instead.]

...Is something wrong, miss?
